NYFW Day 2

This Sunday was my 2nd day at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  I was very fortunate to attend the Custo Barcelona, Joanna Mastroianni, and Vivienne Tam shows! I also spent some time with my cousin Catherine, who is a writer for People.

NYFW Day 1!

Between the snow and the hail and the rain, yesterday was nothing short of dramatic at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center! I spent my day at CZAR by Cesar Galindo, Sally Lapointe, Monika Chiang, and Rebecca Minkoff in addition to seeing two of my best friends and fellow bloggers, Hannah and Ryan. Here’s a selfie I took before heading into the city for my shows:

This Sunday, I will be participating in the National Eating Disorders Association’s NYC Walk for Awareness! I am asking for your support in raising awareness about and funding for those living with eating disorders, some whom are very close to me.

NEDA’s vision is to eliminate eating disorders globally by promoting positive body image and self-esteem and by discouraging dieting behaviors, drive for thinness, and body dissatisfaction. NEDA is recognized and supported by sufferers, families, health care professionals and educators throughout the world. As you can see, raising awareness for this organization is critical in order to create a world where all women, girls and men feel confident about their bodies and are embraced for who they are as individuals, not what they look like. NEDA provides critical programs and services to support individuals and families affected by eating disorders like their National toll-free Helpline, Annual Conference, and Preventative Tookits for Parents and Educators.

I am participating in a NEDA Walk because I want to eliminate the stigma associated with eating disorders and help promote self-love. I want young people to prevent their minds from bullying their bodies. NEDA can help.  Donating to my fundraising page is a way for you to demonstrate that you care about increasing positive body image across the country. Contributing through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts and help me meet my fundraising goal!

Thank you so much in advance for your support. I am able to spread the word about NEDA and eating disorders with the confidence that I will feel embraced by my loved ones. Please help me fill my thermometer by forwarding my page to anyone you think might want to join in the cause with us!

The most recent issue of {tap}, SAGE, came out last month, which you can read here (note our super fancy new website!).

Our next issue, BARE, will serve as a commentary on minimalism and exposition. Please refer to the following moodboard for inspiration. The deadline for this issue is November 5.

CELESTE and an announcement!

Dear {tap} readers,

After 23 issues and over 3 years, I would like to announce the release of our latest issue, CELESTE, and an upcoming change regarding our publishing schedule. I would like to begin by saying that I am beyond grateful for the opportunities {tap} and its contributors have brought me and that the forthcoming change is no way a negative reflection of my dedication to this publication.

Beginning with Issue 24, to be released in October, {tap} will be following a quarterly schedule, with issues to correspond with each of the four seasons. The purpose of this change is to provide readers with a wider diversity of content and more thoughtful editorial decisions. This change is in part necessary due to my inability to give the magazine the attention it needs to maintain bimonthly publishing. On this note, {tap} may return to a bimonthly or even monthly schedule in the future, though this is not definite. Additionally, {tap} will now be accepting applications for various editorial positions to ensure that our less frequent publishing is a solely positive change for the magazine.

Planning for Issue 24 has already begun, and the theme will be announced shortly so that our contributors can begin preparing as well! In the meantime, please enjoy CELESTE. Thank you again to every reader (all 1300 of you!) for sharing the {tap} experience. I look forward to many years to come with the growing {tap} family.

premature summer lovin

I’m obsessed with the California/50s/70s vibes in this shoot. What I love about TANK is that they really do what they think looks cool, not trendy. Any magazine that forges their own identity rather than trying to be the next Vogue deserves recognition.

Though this is a bit of a filler post, things are going to pick back up around here ASAP. I have photos from NYFW to share, an upcoming issue of {tap} to market, and lots of outfit posts. Can’t wait to get back into blogging!

Read LUNA!

Marni Does H&M

Anyone else dying for this?! Sofia Coppola charm and Marni prints–what more could a fashionista want? I’m not usually a fan of H&M’s collaborations with luxury brands but this looks impeccable. Out March 8th.

On another note, we’re shooting for the next issue of {tap} next week, so there should be more posts regarding that to kick off the resumption of regular posting.

P.S. Have you read LUNA yet?
